Mission
To defend Italian memory abroad and open concrete paths for citizenship, culture, work, housing and belonging, with special attention to the southern Venetian community and welcome for all descendants.
Instituto San Marco is born in Rio Grande do Sul, founded by descendants of Venetians, with a name and symbol tied to a strong tradition: Saint Mark, the winged lion and the memory of the Serenissima. This root does not close doors; it gives identity, language and institutional stature.
We are descendants of southern Venetians, but our mission is to promote protection, guidance and opportunities for all Italian descendants, whether of Venetian origin or from other regions. Tradition is the starting point; welcome is the commitment.
To defend Italian memory abroad and open concrete paths for citizenship, culture, work, housing and belonging, with special attention to the southern Venetian community and welcome for all descendants.
To become a reference institute for the Italian diaspora in Brazil: strong in identity, clear in discourse and able to build real bridges with Italy, its comunes, companies, culture and communities.
Tradition, protection, truth, family, Italian culture, knowledge, responsibility, cooperation, respect for origins and community service. We believe a strong identity can welcome more, not less.
Instituto San Marco is born as an association dedicated to valuing Italian descendants, defending ius sanguinis and building an institutional presence distinct from traditional tricolor associations.
